We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainable Mining Environmental Consultant to join our team in Bisha, Eritrea.
Job Overview
The Sustainable Mining Environmental Consultant will be responsible for providing environmental consulting services to our mining clients in Eritrea. This includes conducting environmental assessments, developing environmental management plans, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in environmental science and experience working in the mining industry. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have excellent communication and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct environmental assessments and develop environmental management plans for mining projects
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and laws related to environmental management
- Develop and implement environmental monitoring programs
- Collaborate with clients to develop sustainable solutions that balance business objectives with environmental and social responsibilities
- Provide training and capacity building to clients and stakeholders on environmental management practices
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
- 5-8 years of experience in environmental consulting, preferably in the mining industry
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and laws in Eritrea
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Fluency in English and Tigrinya languages
Education
We are looking for a candidate with a Master’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field. A Ph.D. in Environmental Science or a related field would be an asset.
Experience
We are seeking a candidate with 5-8 years of experience in environmental consulting, preferably in the mining industry. Experience working in Eritrea or a similar context would be an asset.
Salary
The salary for this position is SSP 50,000 – 70,000 per month, depending on experience.
