Job Overview
The Senior Hydrogeology Consultant will play a pivotal role in our environmental division, leading complex investigations into groundwater systems and aquifer management. This role is essential for our mission to provide data-driven solutions for water scarcity and sustainable extraction. You will lead multidisciplinary teams to conduct field assessments, develop numerical models, and provide strategic advice to government and private sector clients. Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex groundwater modeling and aquifer characterization projects across various terrains.
- Supervise field teams during borehole drilling, water quality sampling, and geophysical surveys.
- Develop comprehensive technical reports and feasibility studies for large-scale water infrastructure.
- Provide expert consultancy to stakeholders regarding groundwater sustainability and regulatory compliance.
- Mentor junior hydrogeologists and environmental scientists to foster technical excellence.
- Ensure all environmental assessments adhere to both local and international regulatory standards.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in numerical groundwater modeling software (e.g., MODFLOW).
- Expertise in interpreting geophysical data and borehole logs.
- Strong project management skills with experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams.
- Exceptional technical writing and communication skills for high-level reporting.
- Deep understanding of hydrogeochemical analysis and water quality standards.
Education
A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Hydrogeology, Geological Engineering, or a closely related Earth Science discipline is required. A PhD is highly preferred for this senior-level consultancy role.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 7 years of professional experience in hydrogeology, with a proven track record of managing complex groundwater projects. Experience in arid or semi-arid environments is a significant advantage. You should have demonstrated experience in client management and technical leadership within a professional consultancy setting.
Salary
