Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Impact Assessment Specialist to join our team in Assab, Eritrea. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting environmental impact assessments for various projects, including infrastructure development, mining, and energy projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science and experience in conducting environmental impact assessments. They will also have excellent communication and project management skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

The successful candidate will be based in Assab, Eritrea and will be required to travel to project sites as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct environmental impact assessments for various projects, including infrastructure development, mining, and energy projects.
  • Develop and implement environmental management plans for projects.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure that environmental considerations are integrated into project planning and decision-making.
  • Conduct environmental monitoring and reporting for projects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure that environmental considerations are taken into account in project decision-making.
  • Required Skills
  • Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field.
  • 8-12 years of experience in environmental impact assessment and sustainability consulting.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
