Job Overview

ERM is seeking an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Specialist to join our team in Bisha, Eritrea. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting EIAs for various projects, including infrastructure development, mining, and energy projects. The EIA Specialist will work closely with our clients and stakeholders to identify and mitigate potential environmental impacts associated with these projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, engineering, or a related field, and experience in conducting EIAs. They will also have excellent communication and project management skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct EIAs for various projects, including infrastructure development, mining, and energy projects
  • Work closely with clients and stakeholders to identify and mitigate potential environmental impacts associated with these projects
  • Develop and implement effective EIA methodologies and tools
  • Collaborate with other ERM teams, including environmental scientists, engineers, and social scientists
  • Prepare and present EIA reports and recommendations to clients and stakeholders

Required Skills

  • Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
  • 8-12 years of experience in conducting EIAs
  • Strong background in environmental science, engineering, or a related field
