Job Summary
The Senior Policy Analyst will monitor, interpret, and analyze complex political, economic, and regulatory developments across African markets. The role translates macro-level policy trends into actionable intelligence that supports investment decisions, donor programming, and development finance strategies.

Key Responsibilities
Policy Monitoring & Analysis
- Track legislative, regulatory, and political developments across African countries
- Assess implications for investment environments, trade policies, and development finance flows
- Provide structured political economy risk analysis
Research & Reporting
- Develop high-quality policy briefs, analytical reports, and strategic intelligence documents
- Cover sectors such as infrastructure, energy transition, digital economy, and public financial management
- Deliver insights to support executive and donor decision-making
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain networks with government officials, DFIs, NGOs, and private sector actors
- Collect field intelligence to support research outputs
- Facilitate cross-border policy discussions and knowledge exchange
Advisory Support
- Provide strategic advisory input for investment and project development decisions
- Support risk assessment and scenario planning exercises
- Contribute to policy design and funding strategy formulation
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Economics, International Relations, Public Policy, or related discipline
- Master’s degree is an added advantage
- Additional training in governance, development finance, or regional studies is preferred
