Job Overview

The Renewable Energy Project Analyst will play a pivotal role in evaluating, planning, and monitoring renewable energy initiatives across Eritrea. Reporting to the Project Development Manager, the analyst will conduct feasibility studies, financial modeling, and risk assessments for solar and wind projects, ensuring alignment with TotalEnergies’ strategic objectives and local regulatory frameworks. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform technical and economic feasibility studies for new renewable energy projects, including site assessments, resource analysis, and cost‑benefit evaluations.
  • Develop detailed financial models to forecast project cash flows, ROI, and payback periods, supporting investment decisions.
  • Collaborate with engineering, legal, and procurement teams to ensure project designs meet local regulations and international standards.
  • Prepare comprehensive project reports and presentations for senior management and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor ongoing project performance, track key performance indicators, and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
  • Assist in the preparation of grant applications and financing proposals with development banks and international investors.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in Excel, PowerBI, or similar data‑visualization tools.
  • Knowledge of renewable energy technologies, especially solar photovoltaic and wind power.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic or Tigrinya is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with Eritrean energy policies and permitting processes.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Renewable Energy, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., PMP, CFA) are advantageous.

Experience

Applicants should have 2‑4 years of relevant experience in renewable energy project analysis, consultancy, or a similar role within the energy sector.

Salary

The position offers a competitive monthly salary ranging from 150,000 to 250,000 SSP, commensurate with experience and qualifications, along with performance‑based bonuses.
