Job Overview
The Curriculum Development Specialist will lead the design, review, and implementation of curricula for secondary education in the Southern Red Sea region, with a focus on integrating competency‑based learning, digital tools, and culturally relevant content. Reporting to the Director of Curriculum Development, the specialist will collaborate with subject matter experts, teachers, and external consultants to ensure that curricula meet national standards and international best practices. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and update curriculum frameworks for subjects such as Mathematics, Science, Language Arts, and Social Studies.
- Conduct comprehensive needs analyses with schools, teachers, and community stakeholders to identify gaps and opportunities.
- Integrate digital learning resources, interactive media, and assessment tools into curriculum designs.
- Coordinate pilot testing of new curricula in selected schools and gather feedback for refinement.
- Ensure alignment with national education standards, UNESCO guidelines, and regional development objectives.
- Prepare detailed curriculum documentation, teacher guides, and student workbooks.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions for teachers on curriculum implementation.
- Monitor and evaluate curriculum effectiveness through data analysis and reporting.
- Collaborate with international donors and NGOs to secure resources and technical support.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of emerging educational trends and pedagogical innovations.

- Strong expertise in curriculum design, instructional design, and pedagogy.

Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Curriculum Studies, Instructional Design, or a related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or higher is highly desirable, especially with a focus on curriculum development, educational technology, or comparative education.
Experience
Applicants should have a minimum of three to five years of professional experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or teaching at the secondary level. Experience working with government agencies, NGOs, or international development partners in the education sector is preferred.
Salary
The position offers a competitive salary ranging from 150,000 to 250,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional performance‑based incentives may be provided.
