Job Overview
The Education Program Officer will support the design, implementation, and evaluation of education initiatives funded by the World Bank in the Teseney region. Working under the supervision of the Senior Education Specialist, the officer will coordinate with government agencies, civil society partners, and local schools to ensure that project activities align with national strategies and World Bank standards. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of project work plans, budgets, and logical frameworks for education programs.
- Conduct field assessments, baseline surveys, and monitoring visits to evaluate program performance.

- Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and policy briefs for internal and external audiences.

Required Skills

Education
A Master’s degree in Education, Development Studies, Public Policy, International Relations, or a closely related discipline is required. Candidates with additional certifications in Monitoring & Evaluation, Project Management (e.g., PMP), or Gender Equality are highly regarded.
Experience
Applicants should have a minimum of three to five years of professional experience in international development, education program implementation, or related fields. Prior experience working with multilateral donors, government ministries, or NGOs in East Africa will be considered a strong asset.
Salary
The position offers a competitive salary range of SSP 150,000 to SSP 250,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The compensation package includes performance‑based incentives and allowances for field travel.
