Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sustainable Urban Planning Specialist to join our team in Mendefera, Eritrea. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable urban planning strategies that promote environmentally friendly and socially inclusive development in Eritrea.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sustainable urban planning strategies that promote environmentally friendly and socially inclusive development in Eritrea
• Conduct research and analysis on urban planning trends and best practices in Eritrea and globally
• Collaborate with local government agencies, community groups, and other stakeholders to develop and implement urban planning projects
• Provide technical assistance and training to local government agencies and community groups on sustainable urban planning practices
• Develop and manage project budgets and timelines

Required Skills

• Master’s degree in Urban Planning or related field
• 5-7 years of experience in urban planning and development
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and project management skills
• Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with diverse stakeholders

Education

The successful candidate must have a Master’s degree in Urban Planning or a related field from a recognized university.

Experience

The successful candidate must have at least 5-7 years of experience in urban planning and development, with a strong track record of developing and implementing sustainable urban planning strategies.

Salary

The salary for this position is SSP 50,000 – 70,000 per annum, depending on experience.
