Job Overview

The Sustainable Agriculture Specialist will design, implement, and monitor agronomic practices that enhance productivity while preserving natural resources. Reporting to the Regional Agronomy Manager, you will work closely with local growers, extension officers, and Cargill’s research team to introduce climate‑resilient crop varieties, precision irrigation, and soil health initiatives. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct on‑site evaluations of farms to assess soil health, water usage, and crop performance.
• Develop and pilot climate‑smart agronomic protocols tailored to Eritrea’s arid and semi‑arid zones.
• Collaborate with local agricultural extension services to disseminate best‑practice guidelines.

Required Skills

• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic or Tigrinya is a plus.

Education
