Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Petroleum Reservoir Engineer to join our technical team in Assab. This role is critical to our exploration and production strategy in the region. The successful candidate will be responsible for characterizing reservoir behavior, predicting production profiles, and optimizing recovery methods to maximize the value of our assets. This position requires a deep understanding of fluid flow in porous media, rock mechanics, and advanced numerical simulation. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform complex reservoir simulations to predict future production performance.

  • Monitor real-time production data and adjust reservoir models accordingly.

Required Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Eclipse, Petrel).
  • In-depth knowledge of thermodynamics and fluid properties.
  • Strong mathematical modeling and statistical analysis capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting technical findings to stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and multidisciplinary team environment.

Education

A Master’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, or a closely related Earth Science discipline is mandatory. A PhD is highly preferred for this senior-level position.

Experience

A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in reservoir engineering within the upstream oil and gas sector is required. Proven track record in managing complex offshore or onshore reservoirs is essential. Candidates should have significant experience in numerical modeling and field development planning.

Salary

The monthly salary for this position ranges from 45,000 SSP to 75,000 SSP, depending on experience and technical expertise.
