Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Hydrology Specialist to lead our water resource assessment and management initiatives in the Badi region. This role is pivotal in designing and implementing sustainable water systems that align with local ecological needs and industrial requirements. The successful candidate will conduct complex hydrological modeling, manage groundwater monitoring programs, and advise on large-scale water infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive hydrological investigations and groundwater modeling to assess aquifer recharge and depletion rates.
- Design and oversee the installation of advanced water monitoring sensor networks across the Badi region.
- Develop long-term water sustainability strategies for industrial and municipal clients.
- Analyze complex datasets to predict seasonal water availability and mitigate drought risks.
- Collaborate with government agencies to ensure compliance with national environmental regulations.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior hydrologists and field technicians.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in hydrological modeling software such as MODFLOW or FEFLOW.
- Expertise in GIS (Geographic Information Systems) for spatial analysis of water resources.
- Strong understanding of hydrogeology and groundwater-surface water interactions.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities regarding complex environmental data.
- Excellent technical report writing and communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
Education
A Master’s degree in Hydrology, Water Resources Engineering, Geosciences, or a closely related field is mandatory. A PhD in a specialized hydrological field is highly preferred.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 to 7 years of professional experience in hydrological research, groundwater management, or water engineering, preferably within an international development or large-scale industrial context.
Salary
The offered salary for this position is between 45,000 and 65,000 SSP per month, depending on the candidate’s expertise and qualifications.
