Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement robust compliance frameworks for all new fintech products and digital services.
  • Monitor emerging regulatory trends in the digital finance sector to ensure proactive adaptation.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments on digital payment gateways and mobile money platforms.
  • Collaborate with the IT and Product teams to ensure ‘Compliance by Design’ in all software development lifecycles.

  • Provide expert guidance to senior management on the implications of new financial technology regulations.
  • Liaise with local and international regulatory bodies to ensure full transparency and adherence to laws.

Required Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) protocols within digital environments.
  • Deep understanding of regional and international financial regulations governing electronic money and fintech.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulatory documents.
  • Excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between technical teams and legal departments.
  • Proficiency in using data analytics tools to monitor transaction patterns and detect anomalies.

Education

A Master’s degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field is required. Professional certifications such as CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) or ICA (International Compliance Association) certifications are highly preferred.

Experience

A minimum of 7 years of experience in financial compliance, with at least 3 years specifically focused on digital banking, fintech, or electronic payment systems. Proven track record of managing regulatory audits and implementing complex compliance programs in a multinational banking environment.

Salary
