Job Overview
The Senior Aerospace Structural Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the structural integrity and long-term airworthiness of our diverse fleet. Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced finite element analysis (FEA) to predict structural behavior under various flight loads.
- Develop and implement structural repair schemes for aircraft components to ensure compliance with OEM specifications.
- Oversee the inspection of airframe structures for fatigue, corrosion, and damage.
- Collaborate with the maintenance planning team to optimize structural inspection intervals.
- Lead technical investigations into structural failures or anomalies discovered during heavy maintenance checks.
- Ensure all structural engineering activities comply with EASA and FAA regulatory standards.
Required Skills
- Expertise in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software such as ANSYS or Abaqus.
- Deep knowledge of aerospace composite materials and advanced metallic alloys.
- Proficiency in interpreting complex technical drawings and structural repair manuals (SRM).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior engineers.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities regarding structural fatigue and damage tolerance.
Education
A Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a closely related field is mandatory. Candidates must demonstrate a strong academic background in structural mechanics and material science.
Experience
A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in aerospace structural engineering, preferably within a heavy maintenance or MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) environment. Proven experience in certifying structural repairs is highly desirable.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 45,000 SSP to 65,000 SSP, depending on experience and technical expertise. This competitive package reflects the specialized nature of the role.
