Job Overview
This role supports the planning, execution, and monitoring of renewable energy initiatives in Agordat, Eritrea. The coordinator will collaborate with government agencies, local stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure project timelines, budgets, and sustainability targets are met. Candidates must demonstrate expertise in cross-sectoral project management and a commitment to advancing Eritrea’s renewable energy agenda.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the development and implementation of solar and wind energy projects.
- Coordinate with engineers, environmental scientists, and local authorities to secure permits and approvals.
- Monitor project budgets, timelines, and compliance with international sustainability standards.
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for new energy infrastructure.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders and investors.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in renewable energy project management.
- Strong understanding of Eritrean energy policies and regulations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
- Fluency in English and working knowledge of Tigrinya or Arabic.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Master’s Degree preferred but not required.
Experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years in energy project coordination or similar roles.
- Experience in Eritrea or neighboring regions is a significant advantage.
Salary
15,000 – 20,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
