Job Overview

The Flight Operations Scheduler will be responsible for creating, monitoring, and adjusting flight schedules to ensure optimal aircraft utilization, regulatory compliance, and on‑time performance. Working closely with pilots, ground crew, and the dispatch team, the scheduler will analyze flight data, weather forecasts, and airport constraints to develop efficient timetables. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and seasonal flight schedules for domestic and regional routes.
  • Coordinate with pilots, crew scheduling, and ground operations to align resources with flight plans.
  • Monitor real‑time flight operations, adjust schedules for weather disruptions, air traffic control restrictions, and maintenance issues.
  • Ensure compliance with Eritrean Civil Aviation Authority regulations and international aviation standards.
  • Analyze performance metrics such as on‑time departure/arrival rates and recommend improvements.
  • Prepare detailed reports for senior management on schedule efficiency and operational costs.
  • Collaborate with the revenue management team to align flight capacity with market demand.

  • Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional coordination.

Education

Experience

Applicants should have 2‑4 years of hands‑on experience in flight scheduling, airline operations, or a similar role within the aviation sector. Experience with ERP or airline-specific scheduling tools (e.g., Sabre, Amadeus, or Navitaire) is highly preferred.

Salary
