Job Overview
We are seeking a Digital Forestry Systems Analyst to join our team in Segeneiti, Eritrea. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing digital solutions to support our forestry and land use programs. This will involve working with our team to design and implement digital tools and systems to monitor and manage forest health, as well as to support our conservation efforts.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, computer programming, and data analysis. They will also have excellent communication and project management skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement digital solutions to support our forestry and land use programs
- Design and implement digital tools and systems to monitor and manage forest health
- Support our conservation efforts through the use of digital technologies
- Work with our team to develop and implement project plans and timelines
- Collaborate with local communities and stakeholders to ensure that our digital solutions meet their needs and expectations
Required Skills
- Strong background in environmental science, computer programming, and data analysis
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Experience with digital mapping and geographic information systems (GIS)
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
Experience
5-7 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a conservation or environmental organization
Salary
50,000 – 70,000 SSP per month
