Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Air Traffic Control Systems Engineer to join our team in Ghinda, Eritrea. This role is critical for the design, implementation, and maintenance of advanced air traffic control systems that ensure the safety and efficiency of air travel in the region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aviation systems engineering, with expertise in radar, communication, navigation, and surveillance technologies. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement air traffic control systems, including radar, communication, and navigation equipment.
- Conduct system integration, testing, and validation to ensure compliance with international aviation standards.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for air traffic control systems, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum reliability.
- Collaborate with aviation authorities, airlines, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
- Perform regular maintenance, upgrades, and optimizations of existing systems to enhance performance and safety.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including system specifications, operational procedures, and training materials.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements and innovations.
- Ensure all systems adhere to regulatory requirements and safety standards set by local and international aviation bodies.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in air traffic control systems, including radar, ADS-B, and communication networks.
- Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and standards, such as those from ICAO and FAA.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in high-pressure environments.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Experience with system integration, testing, and validation methodologies.
- Familiarity with software and hardware used in aviation systems engineering.

Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees or certifications in air traffic management or aviation systems are highly desirable.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in air traffic control systems engineering, with a proven track record in designing, implementing, and maintaining aviation infrastructure. Experience working in international or multicultural environments is an advantage.
