Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Digital Forestry Systems Analyst to join our team in Senafe, Eritrea. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing digital solutions to support our forestry and conservation programs.
The Digital Forestry Systems Analyst will work closely with our forestry and conservation teams to design and implement digital systems that support our conservation efforts. This may include developing and maintaining databases, creating maps and spatial analysis tools, and implementing monitoring and evaluation systems.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, computer science, or a related field, and experience working with digital systems and data analysis. They will also have excellent communication and project management skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement digital solutions to support forestry and conservation programs
- Design and maintain databases and data systems to support conservation efforts
- Create maps and spatial analysis tools to support conservation planning and monitoring
- Implement monitoring and evaluation systems to track conservation progress
- Work closely with forestry and conservation teams to ensure effective implementation of digital solutions
Required Skills
- Strong background in environmental science, computer science, or a related field
- Experience working with digital systems and data analysis
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL
- Experience with geographic information systems (GIS) and spatial analysis tools
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
Experience
5-7 years of experience in a related field, preferably in conservation or environmental science
Salary
80,000 – 120,000 SSP per year
