Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Forestry Systems Analyst to join our team in Senafe, Eritrea. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting data related to forest ecosystems, identifying trends and patterns, and developing recommendations for conservation and management. The role will also involve collaborating with local communities, governments, and other stakeholders to implement conservation projects and promote sustainable forest management practices.

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and interpret data related to forest ecosystems, including satellite imagery, field observations, and other sources
- Develop and implement data-driven recommendations for conservation and management of forest ecosystems
- Collaborate with local communities, governments, and other stakeholders to implement conservation projects and promote sustainable forest management practices
- Develop and maintain relationships with local partners and stakeholders to ensure effective project implementation
- Conduct fieldwork and data collection in forest ecosystems, including remote sensing and ground-based surveys
Required Skills:
- Advanced degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, or related field
- 5-7 years of experience in forest ecology, conservation, or related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret complex data sets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Proficiency in geographic information systems (GIS) and remote sensing technologies
