We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sustainable Urban Planning Specialist to join our team in Mendefera, Eritrea.
Job Overview:As a Sustainable Urban Planning Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable urban planning strategies and policies that promote environmentally friendly and socially inclusive urban development. You will work closely with local government officials, community leaders, and other stakeholders to identify and address urban planning challenges and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sustainable urban planning strategies and policies that promote environmentally friendly and socially inclusive urban development
- Work closely with local government officials, community leaders, and other stakeholders to identify and address urban planning challenges and opportunities
- Conduct research and analysis to inform urban planning decisions and policies
- Develop and maintain relationships with local government officials, community leaders, and other stakeholders to promote sustainable urban development
- Provide technical assistance and training to local government officials and community leaders on sustainable urban planning practices
Required Skills:
- Master’s degree in Urban Planning or related field
- 8-12 years of experience in urban planning and sustainability
- Strong knowledge of sustainable urban planning principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and build relationships with local government officials, community leaders, and other stakeholders
