Job Overview
This role focuses on sourcing, evaluating, and negotiating procurement contracts for renewable energy technologies and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will support Enel Green Power’s mission to deliver cost-effective, sustainable energy solutions to Eritrea’s growing market. The position requires collaboration with local and international suppliers, ensuring alignment with project timelines and budget constraints.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead procurement activities for solar panels, wind turbines, and energy storage systems.
- Evaluate supplier capabilities, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships.
- Conduct market research to identify cost-effective and sustainable energy solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure technical specifications align with procurement needs.
- Monitor project budgets and ensure procurement processes adhere to company policies and local regulations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in energy sector procurement or supply chain management.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Familiarity with renewable energy technologies and industry standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software and procurement tools.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Energy Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or related field.
- Advanced degree or certification in Supply Chain Management (CIPS, PMP) is a plus.
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the energy or infrastructure sectors.
- Experience working on international renewable energy projects is highly desirable.
Salary
12,000 – 18,000 Eritrean Nakfa (SSP) per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
