Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Water Resource Engineer to lead our water management initiatives in the Barentu region. This role is critical to our mission of providing sustainable water solutions in arid and semi-arid environments. You will be responsible for designing, modeling, and managing complex water infrastructure projects that address irrigation, sanitation, and potable water access. This position requires a deep understanding of hydrological modeling, groundwater management, and climate resilience strategies. The successful candidate will act as a technical lead, guiding junior engineers and collaborating with government stakeholders and local communities to ensure project viability and sustainability. This is a high-impact role that directly contributes to the regional development and environmental stability of the area.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of large-scale water distribution and storage systems.
- Perform advanced hydrological and hydraulic modeling to predict water availability and demand.
- Conduct environmental impact assessments for proposed water infrastructure projects.
- Manage multidisciplinary teams to ensure project delivery within scope, budget, and time constraints.
- Collaborate with local authorities to align engineering solutions with regional water management policies.
- Develop technical reports and feasibility studies for international and local clients.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in hydraulic modeling software such as HEC-RAS or EPANET.
- Expertise in groundwater hydrology and aquifer management strategies.
- Strong project management capabilities and experience leading technical teams.

Education
A Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or a closely related field is mandatory. A PhD in Hydrology or Environmental Engineering is highly preferred for this senior-level position.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 7 years of professional experience in water resource engineering, preferably within a consultancy or large-scale infrastructure development environment. Proven experience in managing projects in developing regions or arid climates is a significant advantage.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 45,000 SSP to 65,000 SSP, depending on the candidate’s expertise and technical proficiency.
