Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Public Relations Specialist to lead our communication strategies in the Barentu region. This role is critical in managing the brand reputation of the BBC World Service and ensuring our content reaches the widest possible audience through effective media relations and community engagement. The successful candidate will act as a bridge between our international broadcasting standards and the local cultural nuances of the region.
This position requires a strategic thinker who can navigate complex media landscapes and build strong relationships with local journalists, community leaders, and government entities. You will be responsible for crafting compelling narratives, managing crisis communications, and executing large-scale media campaigns that highlight our commitment to journalistic excellence. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive public relations strategies to enhance brand visibility.
- Manage relationships with local media outlets and key stakeholders in the Barentu region.

Education

Experience
Candidates must possess at least 5 years of professional experience in public relations or corporate communications, preferably within a media or international non-governmental organization. A proven track record of managing successful media campaigns and handling sensitive communication issues is essential.
Salary
The offered salary for this position is between 45,000 SSP and 65,000 SSP per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
