Job Overview
We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated Senior Marine Biologist to lead our coastal ecosystem monitoring programs in the Assab region. This role is critical for our mission to understand the changing dynamics of coral reefs and seagrass meadows in the Red Sea. Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement long-term monitoring programs for coral reef health and biodiversity.
- Lead field expeditions to collect biological, chemical, and physical oceanographic data.
- Analyze complex ecological datasets using advanced statistical modeling techniques.
- Publish research findings in peer-reviewed scientific journals to contribute to global knowledge.
- Collaborate with local government agencies to inform marine protected area (MPA) management.

Required Skills

Education

Experience
A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in marine ecological research is required. Proven experience in managing large-scale field research projects and leading scientific teams is highly desirable. Experience working in coastal African environments is a significant advantage.
Salary
