Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee complex international and domestic freight shipments to ensure timely delivery.
• Optimize logistics routes and transportation modes to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
• Manage relationships with local carriers, customs brokers, and warehouse providers.
• Monitor shipment tracking and provide real-time updates to internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure full compliance with international shipping regulations and local Eritrean customs laws.
• Analyze logistics data to identify bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement strategies.
• Prepare detailed logistics reports for senior management regarding performance and cost-saving initiatives.

Required Skills

• Advanced proficiency in Logistics Management Systems (LMS) and ERP software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to manage complex supply chain disruptions.
• Exceptional communication skills for coordinating with diverse international teams.
• In-depth knowledge of Incoterms and international maritime/air freight regulations.
• High level of attention to detail in documentation and regulatory compliance.

Education

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Professional certifications such as CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) or CLTD (Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution) are highly preferred.

Experience

Candidates must possess at least 5 years of proven experience in logistics coordination or supply chain management, preferably within a multinational logistics firm. Experience in the East African market and familiarity with regional customs procedures is a significant advantage. Salary

The monthly salary for this position ranges from 45,000 SSP to 65,000 SSP, depending on experience, qualifications, and performance during the probationary period.
