Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement mineral processing workflows for gold and copper extraction
- Monitor and optimize flotation, leaching, and concentration processes
- Conduct metallurgical testing to improve recovery rates
- Collaborate with geologists and mining engineers on ore body analysis
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations
- Prepare technical reports and process improvement proposals
Required Skills
- Proficiency in mineral processing software (e.g., HSC Chemistry, JKSimMet)
- Strong analytical skills for process optimization
- Experience with mining equipment and automation systems
- Problem-solving in complex processing environments
- Excellent communication for cross-department collaboration
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Metallurgical Engineering. Advanced degrees or certifications in mineral processing are highly advantageous.
Experience
3-5 years of progressive experience in mineral processing operations, preferably in gold/copper mining environments. Experience with Eritrean mining regulations and practices is preferred.
Salary
150,000 – 250,000 Eritrean Nakfa (SSP) per month, commensurate with experience and technical expertise.
