Veolia seeks a dedicated Desalination Plant Operator to manage and maintain water desalination systems in Nefasit, Eritrea. Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor desalination plant equipment, including reverse osmosis systems and brine discharge units
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of water treatment infrastructure
- Collect and analyze water quality samples to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Document operational data and generate performance reports
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to optimize plant efficiency
Required Skills
- Technical knowledge of desalination processes and water treatment systems
- Proficiency in operating SCADA systems for plant monitoring
- Strong problem-solving skills for equipment malfunctions
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, safety-focused environment
- Fluency in Eritrean languages (Tigrinya, Arabic) and English
Education
- High School diploma with technical training in water systems or related field
- Certifications in water treatment operations preferred
Experience

Salary
