Job Overview

The Credit Risk Analyst will play a pivotal role in assessing the creditworthiness of borrowers, monitoring portfolio performance, and ensuring compliance with the Bank’s risk policies. Reporting to the Head of Credit Risk Management, you will work closely with loan officers, sector specialists, and senior management to evaluate loan proposals, conduct financial analysis, and recommend risk mitigation measures. Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial statements, cash flow projections, and market data to assess borrower credit risk.
  • Prepare detailed credit risk reports and present findings to senior management.
  • Monitor existing loan portfolios for early warning signs and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure adherence to AfDB credit policies, regulatory requirements, and internal risk frameworks.
  • Collaborate with sector specialists to incorporate industry-specific risk factors into credit assessments.
