Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Senior Cybersecurity Operations Manager to lead our Security Operations Center (SOC) in Asmara. This critical role is responsible for overseeing the detection, investigation, and response to cyber threats across our regional infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the daily operations of the regional Security Operations Center (SOC).
  • Develop and implement comprehensive incident response and disaster recovery plans.
  • Oversee threat hunting activities to proactively identify potential vulnerabilities and attackers.
  • Coordinate with global security teams to align regional strategies with international standards.
  • Manage security automation tools and integrate them into existing workflows.
  • Provide expert guidance during high-severity security incidents and post-incident forensic analysis.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing team of cybersecurity professionals.
  • Report on security metrics and risk posture to senior leadership regularly.

Required Skills

  • Expertise in SIEM, EDR, and Network Traffic Analysis tools.
  • Deep understanding of MITRE ATT&CK framework and advanced persistent threats (APTs).
  • Strong leadership and crisis management skills under high-pressure situations.
  • Advanced knowledge of cloud security architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Excellent communication skills for translating technical risks into business impact.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation.

Education

A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a closely related field is required. Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree and significant specialized certifications will be considered.

Experience

A minimum of 8 years of experience in cybersecurity operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial capacity. Proven track record of managing large-scale security incidents and leading technical teams in a global corporate environment is essential.

Salary

The offered salary range for this position is 45,000 to 75,000 SSP per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
