Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Hydrology Specialist to join our technical team in Badi. This role is critical to our mission of managing water resources effectively in the region. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing groundwater and surface water patterns, designing sustainable water extraction systems, and advising on large-scale water management projects. This position requires a deep understanding of hydrogeological modeling, aquifer recharge techniques, and the impact of climate change on local water tables. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive hydrogeological surveys and groundwater modeling to assess aquifer health.

- Collaborate with local government agencies to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in hydrological modeling software (e.g., MODFLOW, GSFLOW).
- Expertise in GIS (Geographic Information Systems) for spatial water analysis.
- Strong understanding of groundwater flow dynamics and soil-water interactions.
- Excellent project management skills and ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities in field environments.
- Strong communication skills for technical reporting and stakeholder engagement.
Education
A Master’s degree in Hydrology, Water Resources Engineering, Geosciences, or a closely related engineering discipline is mandatory. A PhD is highly preferred for this senior-level position.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in hydrological research, water resource management, or environmental engineering. Proven experience in field-based data collection and complex mathematical modeling is essential. Previous experience working in East African environmental projects is a significant advantage.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 45,000 SSP to 65,000 SSP, depending on qualifications and experience level.
