Job Overview:As a Data Centre Operations Manager at Equinix, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our data centre in Dekemhare, Eritrea. This includes managing the facility’s power and cooling systems, ensuring the security and integrity of our customers’ data, and providing exceptional customer service. You will work closely with our engineering and maintenance teams to ensure that our data centre is running smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the data centre, including power and cooling systems, security and access control, and customer service.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of our customers’ data.
- Collaborate with our engineering and maintenance teams to ensure that our data centre is running smoothly and efficiently.
- Provide exceptional customer service to our customers, including responding to their inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Manage and maintain our data centre’s inventory, including tracking and ordering supplies and equipment.
Required Skills:
- 8-12 years of experience in data centre operations, preferably in a management role.
- Strong knowledge of data centre operations, including power and cooling systems, security and access control, and customer service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
Education:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
Experience:8-12 years of experience in data centre operations, preferably in a management role.
