Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Digital Forestry Systems Analyst to join our team in Senafe, Eritrea. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing digital solutions to support our forestry and conservation efforts.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, forestry, or a related field, and experience working with digital technologies. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
The position will be based in Senafe, Eritrea, and will require regular travel to other parts of the country. The successful candidate will be expected to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement digital solutions to support forestry and conservation efforts
- Develop and maintain databases and data systems to support conservation efforts
- Work with stakeholders to identify and prioritize conservation needs
- Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation plans to track conservation progress
- Collaborate with other teams to develop and implement conservation strategies
Required Skills
- Strong background in environmental science, forestry, or a related field
- Experience working with digital technologies, including databases and data systems
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
Experience
5-7 years of experience in a related field, including experience working with digital technologies and conservation efforts
