Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and strategic Procurement Specialist to join our regional operations team in Barentu. This role is critical to ensuring that our humanitarian programs are supported by a seamless and efficient supply chain. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full procurement lifecycle for various humanitarian projects, ensuring timely delivery of essential supplies.
  • Identify, vet, and onboard reliable local and international suppliers that align with our ethical standards.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing to ensure maximum value for money and cost-effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records and documentation for auditing purposes.

Education

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Professional certification such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) is highly desirable.

Experience

Candidates must possess at least 5 years of professional experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within an international NGO or large-scale development organization. Proven experience in managing complex logistics in challenging environments is essential.

Salary
