Job Overview

This role involves creating and editing multimedia content, including video, audio, and written material, to support AFP’s global and local news coverage. Key Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality video and audio content for news broadcasts and online platforms
• Edit and package multimedia stories using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro)
• Collaborate with reporters and editors to develop creative content ideas
• Ensure content aligns with AFP’s editorial guidelines and deadlines
• Conduct field research and interviews to enhance storytelling

Required Skills

• Proficiency in video editing, motion graphics, and audio production
• Strong understanding of storytelling techniques and media trends
• Experience with digital cameras, drones, and mobile journalism tools
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Education

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Media Production, Journalism, Communications, or a related discipline. Advanced certifications in multimedia production are a plus.

Experience

Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in multimedia content creation, preferably in a news or broadcast environment. Prior experience in Eritrea or the Horn of Africa region is advantageous.

Salary

15,000 – 20,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and performance.
