Job Overview
Ericsson is seeking a highly skilled Network Security Specialist to join its team in Agordat, Eritrea. This role is critical to safeguarding Ericsson’s telecommunications networks against cyber threats while ensuring compliance with international security standards. The successful candidate will work alongside a dynamic team to design, implement, and monitor security protocols that protect sensitive data and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain network security systems to protect against cyber threats.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify risks.
- Monitor network traffic and respond to security incidents in real-time.
- Develop and enforce security policies aligned with industry best practices (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security solutions into existing infrastructure.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on cybersecurity protocols and awareness.
Required Skills
- Proven experience with firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and encryption technologies.
- Proficiency in network security tools (e.g., Wireshark, Snort, Splunk).
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and network architecture.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are highly advantageous.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- Master’s Degree or advanced certifications preferred.
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in network security or a related role.
- Experience in telecommunications or enterprise IT environments is a plus.
Salary
- 150,000 – 200,000 Eritrean Nakfa (SSP) per annum, depending on experience.
