Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement water resource management strategies for coastal and inland regions.
  • Conduct hydrological assessments and monitor water quality in aquifers, rivers, and reservoirs.
  • Design and manage projects to improve irrigation efficiency and reduce water wastage.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve conflicts over water usage and distribution.
  • Prepare technical reports and policy recommendations for government and community leaders.

Required Skills

  • Expertise in water resource modeling software (e.g., SWAT, HEC-RAS).
  • Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and impact assessment.
  • Experience in climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Hydrology, Civil Engineering, or related field.

Salary

150,000 – 200,000 Eritrean Nakfa (SSP) annually, commensurate with experience.
