  • Minimum 10 years’ relevant mechanical and piping engineering experience, including several years in senior roles on mining, mineral processing or heavy industrial projects in developing countries, preferable Africa is highly regarded
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and piping design for Gold CIL Plant, utilities and infrastructure, including pumps, tanks, piping systems, slurry transport, compressed air and water services
  • Familiarity with applicable codes, standards and good engineering practice for piping, pressure equipment, rotating/static equipment, welding, NDT, hydrotesting and installation
  • Demonstrated experience with installation, testing, pre‑commissioning and commissioning of process plant mechanical equipment and piping systems
  • Experience managing mechanical package interfaces, vendor data review, materials selection, line classes, valve specifications and piping layout and supports
  • Strong technical review, problem‑solving, planning and organisational skills, with a track record of mentoring and developing national mechanical engineers and inspectors
