Job Overview

The Community Development Officer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring community-based initiatives that support the World Bank’s development agenda in Eritrea. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive community needs assessments to identify priority areas for intervention.
• Develop and implement project work plans, timelines, and budgets in coordination with local partners.
• Facilitate participatory workshops and focus groups to ensure community voices shape project design.
• Monitor project activities, track performance indicators, and produce regular progress reports for internal and donor audiences.

Experience

Applicants should possess a minimum of three to five years of hands‑on experience in community development, rural livelihoods, or project implementation within a developing country context. Experience working with government agencies, NGOs, or multilateral institutions in East Africa is highly desirable.

Salary
