Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Petroleum Exploration Geologist to lead our subsurface evaluation teams. This role is critical to our success in identifying and characterizing potential hydrocarbon reservoirs. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead complex seismic interpretation and geological modeling projects to identify new drilling targets.
  • Integrate multi-disciplinary datasets including petrophysical, geochemical, and geophysical data.
  • Supervise junior geologists and provide technical mentorship to ensure high-quality subsurface assessments.
  • Collaborate with reservoir engineers to optimize field development plans and production strategies.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure all exploration activities comply with international safety and environmental standards.

Required Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in seismic interpretation software and geological modeling tools.
  • Deep understanding of sedimentary basin analysis and structural geology.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex, multi-dimensional datasets.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale projects in remote or challenging environments.

Education

A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Geology, Geophysics, or Petroleum Engineering is required. A PhD in a related Earth Science discipline is highly preferred and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.

Experience

Candidates must possess a minimum of 7 years of direct experience in petroleum exploration or reservoir characterization within the oil and gas industry. Proven track record of successful well placement and reservoir modeling is essential. Experience working in diverse, multicultural teams is a significant plus.

Salary

The offered salary range for this position is 45,000 to 75,000 SSP per month, depending on experience, qualifications, and performance during the interview process.
