Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and strategic Logistics Fleet Manager to oversee our growing fleet of transport vehicles in the Barentu region. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize the daily deployment of the transport fleet to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Monitor vehicle performance and coordinate preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
- Supervise and train a team of drivers and logistics coordinators on safety and efficiency protocols.
- Analyze fuel consumption and maintenance costs to identify opportunities for operational savings.
- Ensure all transport activities comply with local Eritrean transport laws and international safety standards.
- Utilize GPS and telematics data to monitor driver behavior and optimize routing.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in logistics management software and fleet tracking systems.
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting operational data and performance metrics.
- Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
- In-depth knowledge of vehicle maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with warehouse and client teams.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Professional certifications in Fleet Management or Lean Six Sigma are highly desirable.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics or fleet management, preferably within a large-scale international logistics firm. Proven experience in managing diverse driver teams and large vehicle fleets is essential for success in this role.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 45,000 SSP to 65,000 SSP, depending on experience and qualifications.
