As a Water Distribution Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, optimizing, and maintaining water distribution networks across Eritrea. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and oversee the implementation of water distribution systems, including pipelines, pumping stations, and storage facilities.
  • Conduct hydraulic modeling and simulations to optimize system performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with local authorities and stakeholders to ensure compliance with water management regulations.
  • Monitor and analyze system data to identify inefficiencies and propose improvements.
  • Lead field inspections and maintenance operations to ensure system integrity and safety.
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation for project planning and evaluation.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in water distribution system design and engineering.
  • Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software (e.g., EPANET, WaterGEMS).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on sustainability.
  • Excellent communication and project management abilities.
  • Knowledge of Eritrean water infrastructure challenges and regulatory frameworks.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
  • Master’s Degree preferred but not required.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in water distribution systems or related engineering roles.
  • Experience in Eritrea or other East African regions is a significant advantage.

Salary

15,000 – 20,000 Eritrean Nakfa (SSP) per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
