Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement digital content strategies aligned with BBC Media Action’s mission in Eritrea
  • Produce multimedia content (text, video, audio) for online platforms and social media
  • Collaborate with local media partners to train journalists in digital storytelling techniques
  • Analyze audience engagement metrics to optimize content performance
  • Develop partnerships with Eritrean influencers and content creators
  • Ensure compliance with editorial standards and ethical guidelines

Required Skills

  • Proven expertise in digital content creation and strategy
  • Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro)
  • Strong understanding of social media algorithms and trends
  • Bilingual in Tigrinya and English preferred
  • Cross-cultural communication skills

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field
  • Postgraduate qualification in Digital Media a plus

Experience

  • 3-5 years in digital media production
  • Previous work in emerging markets preferred

Salary

50,000 – 70,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience.
