Job Overview
The Education Program Coordinator will manage and implement a portfolio of educational initiatives aimed at improving learning outcomes in the Keren region. Reporting to the Senior Program Manager, the coordinator will oversee project planning, stakeholder engagement, monitoring, and reporting, ensuring alignment with national education strategies and donor requirements. The role involves close collaboration with schools, community leaders, NGOs, and international agencies to design interventions that address gaps in curriculum delivery, teacher training, and student support services. Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed work plans, budgets, and timelines for assigned education programs.
- Coordinate with school administrators, teachers, and community representatives to ensure program relevance and local ownership.
- Monitor project milestones, collect data, and produce regular progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Facilitate capacity‑building workshops for teachers and school staff, focusing on modern pedagogical techniques and inclusive education.
- Manage relationships with donor agencies, ensuring compliance with funding agreements and timely submission of financial reports.
- Identify challenges and propose evidence‑based solutions to improve program effectiveness.

Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Public Administration, International Development, or a closely related discipline is required. Advanced degrees or certifications in program management, monitoring and evaluation, or educational leadership are highly desirable and will be considered an asset during the selection process.
Experience
Candidates must possess at least two to four years of hands‑on experience in coordinating education programs, preferably within a governmental or non‑governmental organization. Experience working in Eritrea or the Horn of Africa region, and familiarity with the local education system, will enhance the applicant’s suitability for the role.
Salary
The successful candidate will receive a competitive monthly salary ranging from SSP 150,000 to SSP 250,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Salary reviews are conducted annually in line with government pay scales and performance assessments.
