Job Overview
The Cloud Infrastructure Security Engineer will design, implement, and manage security controls for Microsoft’s Azure services deployed in Eritrea. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure that cloud workloads meet the highest standards of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. This role involves threat modeling, security architecture reviews, incident response, and automation of security processes. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices for Azure workloads in Eritrea.
- Conduct risk assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability scanning for cloud resources.
- Design and implement security automation scripts using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Terraform.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, and operations teams to embed security into CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor security alerts, investigate incidents, and lead remediation efforts.
- Provide security guidance and training to internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Maintain compliance with regional regulations and industry frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NIST.
Required Skills
- Deep knowledge of Azure security services (Azure AD, Sentinel, Security Center, Key Vault).
- Experience with network security, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and zero‑trust architectures.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) and infrastructure‑as‑code tools.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a proactive security mindset.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex security concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Relevant certifications such as Azure Security Engineer Associate, CISSP, or CISM.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline is required. Advanced degrees or specialized certifications are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.
Experience
Minimum of five years of hands‑on experience securing cloud environments, preferably with Azure, is essential. Prior experience in a multinational technology firm or a large‑scale enterprise environment will be advantageous.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from SSP 1,200,000 to SSP 1,800,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses and eligibility for Microsoft’s global benefits program.
