Job Purpose

The Senior Project Engineer will lead and coordinate multidisciplinary construction activities across the mining site while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to engineering specifications and company standards.

The role requires extensive expertise in:

Key Responsibilities

Construction & Engineering Leadership

• Lead all onsite construction activities across civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines.

• Oversee construction of TSF facilities, processing plants, roads, power systems, and camp infrastructure.
• Ensure construction activities meet approved engineering designs, project specifications, and company standards.
• Act as Project Manager during periods of absence.

EPC Contractor Management

• Manage relationships with EPC contractors and subcontractors.
• Resolve technical issues, RFIs, TQs, and site coordination challenges.
• Verify contractor progress claims and identify project variations.
• Protect company commercial interests through proper documentation and contract compliance.

Project Planning & Coordination

• Chair daily and weekly construction meetings.
• Monitor construction progress against project schedules and budgets.
• Identify risks, delays, and operational constraints.
• Develop mitigation and contingency plans to maintain project timelines.
• Coordinate workforce activities and construction sequencing.
